Banner as a publication media often uses persuasion. The use of persuasion in banners is to invite society to like the product. The problems will be examined in this article are what language structure of political banner used to publicize the candidate of legislative member is, how to examine pragmatic of political banner used to publicize the candidate of legislative member. Language used in banner could be categorized as a discourse, because it is found discourse element such as its textual and contextual. The analysis results of political banner used to publicize the candidate of legislative member have structures and contents explicitly and implicitly. Explicitly, generally banner conveys congratulations like “Happy Fasting Month” and “Happy Ied Mubarak”, meanwhile explicitly banner asks sympathy and support from society so that the language of banner is to invite people to choose and interested in the content of banner. From aspect of discourse integrity, although banner has brief and firm language but also it has cohesion and coherence in structuring language of political banner used to publicize the candidate of legislative member. The pragmatic study of political banner used to publicize the candidate of legislative member cover deixis, speech act, implicature, and its contexts.
