Supervisor I. Asep Tata Gunawan, SKM, M. Kes. Advisor II. Nila Oktaviani, M.Si. Diarrhea is still one public health problem in the region, especially in Batang Puskesmas 3 Region Batang. This is due to the high morbidity, especially in infants and toddlers. Risk factors that may influence the occurrence of diarrhea in infants include: factors of nutritional status, exclusive breastfeeding factors, factors clean water and latrine ownership factor. This research is a case-control sample of 41 cases and 41 controls. The group appointed in the case of diagnosis doctors / nurses are found in the work area Puskesmas Batang 3, and a study in June-July 2012, while the control children who did not suffer from diarrhea at the same time as the cases in the clinic work. The results showed that the nutritional status, exclusive breastfeeding, clean water, latrine ownership has a significant relationship with the occurrence of diarrhea in the working area Puskesmas Batang 3. Conclusion all variables are risk factors associated with diarrhea diseases in children under five in the region of 3 Batang Health Center. Suggestion that mothers diligently weigh toddler, increased efforts to counsel, especially mothers / caregivers about the importance of infant nutrition and exclusive breastfeeding and prevention to avoid toddler diarrhea, people should have their own latrines and for the government or public order Batang further promote the PNPM program to its citizens for making public toilets are eligible.
