ABSTRACT

Nama : Muammaroh, NIM : 09 0008 L Judul : Relationship beetwen level of knowledge of patients with medication adherence in patients with DM Tipe II at RSUD Kajen Kabupaten Pekalongan.
The issue in this research is how relationship beetwen the level of knowledge of patients with medication adherence in patients with DM Tipe II at RSUD Kajen Kabupaten Pekalongan. This research aims to determine the relationship beetwen the level of knowledge of patients with medication adherence in patients with DM Tipe II at RSUD Kajen Kabupaten Pekalongan.
The datas collecting method were gained by questionnaires. Sample used in this research are 75 patients. Analysis that used in this research are descriptive analysys, Chi Square analysis and coefficient of contingency.
Based on the results of the descriptive analysis are majority of respondents have a good level of knowledge about 76% and the majority of respondent have high levels of medication adherence adherent about 90,7%. Based on the results of Chi Square analysis and coefficient of contingency obtained Chi Square value > Chi square table with the confidence level 95% and the degrees of freedom (df) 2 (21,682 > 5,591), so can be concluded that the positive and significant relationship between the level of knowledge of patients with medication adherence in patients with DM Tipe II at RSUD Kajen Kabupaten Pekalongan.
For nurses and other health workers should give priority to conduct outreach Diabetes Melitus to prevent complicationes and to improve patient compliance in taking the medicin.
