ABSTRAK
Background Study : Diabetes Mellitus is a disease of glucose (simple glucose) in the high blood that the body can not release or insulin adequetely. The dietary management of Diabetes mellitus is like a planned food which provides guidelines on nutritional need, advocated the use of a list of foodstuffs, exchangers in counseling. People with diabetes have to pay attention with the meal planning and also have to do some exercises (sport), blood glucose monitoring, therapy (if needed) and health education. Preliminary studies in RSUD Batang had been researched by amount of Diabetes Mellitus patients on January to December 2013. They were 580 people and it had have ranked one to five of the ten largest diseases in RSUD Batang. patient data of Diabetes Milletus on January – March 2013 is 192 people. Purpose of research : this study will know the effect of health education on compliance of diabetes mellitus type 2 diet Diabetes Mellitus type II in RSUD Batang. Research Method : methods will be used in this study is correlation method b y „cr o ss sec tio na l‟ approach. This study has conducted in patients with diabetes mellitus in RSUD Batang with sample number 66 people. Research Result : the results of this research note that most respondents had health education of patients with diabetes Mellitus type II in RSUD Batang that mostly unfavorable as many as 25 people, dietary compliance Mellitus Type II diabetes in RSUD Batang, some of them had not done diet as 37 people (55,1 %) and there was an effect of health education on compliance of diabetes mellitus type II diet with p value – 0 , 00 0
