Mosquitoes are insects that are very disturbing because in addition to causing itching and pain, some types of mosquitoes are vectors or transmitting various types of malignancies. So we need the effort to control the spread of the mosquito, anti mosquito lotion (Soffell) more attractive to the public because it is more effective and efisien.Penelitian aims to identify differences in anti-mosquito lotion (Soffell) with variousscents.
This type of research is experimental with tru experimental method to the study pretest posttest design with control group. The population used in this study were all Aedes mosquitoes that bred in the laboratory aegypty University Pekalongan, while the sample in this study was 30 aegypty aedes mosquitoes per-treatment. Used to test mosquito repellents (Soffell) for 6 hours to see the number of mosquitoes that stick in hand.
The results showed that the average of the three types of power protection anti mosquito lotion (Soffell) for 6 hours is Soffell with 89.3% citrus aroma, with scents gerranium Soffell 92.7%, and Soffell with lemongrass scent leaves 90.3% , by using ANOVA test is known that there is a marked difference the average number of mosquitoes that attach to the hands smeared with lotion Soffell citrus aroma, gerranium, and lemongrass leaves.
