ABSTRACT

Background : health development efforts are priorituzed in indonesia on an increase in the degree of maternal and child health particularly on the most vulnerable groups of the health of pregnant women maternity and infants during perinatal it is characterized by the high maternal mortality ( AKI ) and infant mortality ( AKB ). One attempt at lowering AKI and AKB is to increase knowledge of pregnanr women trough health outrech throug classes of pregnant women which is a means to learn together about the health of pregnant mothers in the form of face to face in a group. Objective : to know the score of knowledge and attitude to pregnant women in the trpregnancy and childbirth preparation class. Research design: this type of research is research pre experimental aiming to find out the symptoms or effects of that arise as a result of the existence of a particular treatment. Whereas the draft research using static compration design group. The sample in this study is 60 respondents divided 30 campus groups and 30 control grup with sampling purposive sampling. Resealch : result uji statistics with independent T-Test found that there are differences in the treatment of knowledge score of pregmancy and childbirth preparation between mothers who follow class mother with mother who did not follow the class mother in the puskesmas kedungwuni 1 pekalongan (P=0,002). There is a difference in the treatment of pregnancy posture score and preparation of labor between mot he rs’s mot her with classes that do not follow the class mother in the puskesmas kedungwuni 1 pekalongan (p=0,013). Suggestion: it is therefore necessary to increase and develop human resources as well as good infrastrukture and budgt so that the class mother can run optimally.
