Role of the tuberculosis program officer at the health center is crucial in
delivering the discovery BTA (+) given the health center is a vehicle that can direct resources from the community, so that the information problem or a disease known immediate health problems more accurately. Formulation of the problem in this study as follows : What factors are associated with program officers in the performance of pulmonary TB case detection in Pekalongan district health center?
Research purposes to determine what factors are related to the
performance of the program officer in the discovery of pulmonary TB patients in
health centers Pekalongan.
This research is analytic study, using cross-sectional survey design in which the independent variables and the dependent variable studied and the data taken at the same time. The result showed that (1) There is no relationship between the performance of knowledge with program officers in the discovery of new cases of smear (+) at the health center Pekalongan. (2) There is no relationship between training and performance program officer in the discovery of new cases of smear (+) at the health center Pekalongan. (3) There is a relationship between workload performance program officer in the discovery of new cases of smear (+) at the health center Pekalongan. (4) There is a relationship between the means of the performance of the program officer in the discovery of new cases of smear (+) at the health center Pekalongan.
Based on the results of this study suggested the discovery of new cases of
smear (+) in Pekalongan is still low, the coaching staff needs to be increased pulmonary TB programs and health cadre mobilization . This is so that the program officer workload is not too heavy and can have more accuracy in the discovery of BTA (+).
