The disease is caused by the presence of DBD vector mosquito Aedes aegypti, which was strongly influenced by the presence of the mosquito larva. The arrival of the rainy season caused the onset of puddle-puddle on a used tin cans, used tires, tree holes, bamboo fence-fence or crop and so on which is a habitat for Aedes aegypti, a mosquito breeding (Djunaedi Djon, 2006).
Mosquito larva monitoring activities to determine the density of the larva is one of the efforts that must be made in order to lower the incidence of disease caused by mosquitoes, and during the months of January to april 2013 tercacat there are 7 cases of Dengue disease in Village Kedungwuni West. (Clinics Kedungwuni 1, 2013).
The purpose of this study was to describe the mosquito Aedes aegypti larva amount based on the type of material of different water shelter, analyzing the differences the amount of mosquito larva Aaedes aegypti by type of water and shelter locations, and describes the amount of mosquito Aedes aegypti larva at the outside and inside the home. This research was conducted in the village of West Subdistrict Kedungwuni Kedungwuni Pekalongan. This research uses a type of observational research Study design with Cross Sectional.
Results of this study showed that the presence of the mosquito Aedes aegypti larva at any type of shelter materials, water, mosquito larva count difference Of Aedes aegypti and there is a difference of larva of the location of the shelter of water inside and outside the home.
