PENGARUH PENGAIRAN BERSELANG DAN UMUR BIBIT TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI PADI (Oryza sativa L)
This research aimed to determine influence of intermittent irrigation system, age seedling and interaction on growth and increasing rice production. The research was conducted in Watubelah village, Kajen subdistrict, Pekalongan, from March until April 2012. The design of experimental used was Split Plot Design with RBD as basic design. Intermittent irrigation placed on the main plot consists 3 level of drying periods : 2 days, 5 days, and 8 days. The age seedling placed on the subplot consists 3 level of ages : 8 days after spreading (das), 15 das, and 22 das. Observed variables includes: plant height, number of leaves by cluster, number of tiller by cluster, number of productive tiller by cluster, range time of flowering, longest root length, panicle length, number of empty grain by panicle, number of filled grain by panicle, weight of 1000 grains, weight of dry grain by cluster, and weight of dry grain by plot. The results showed intermittent irrigation gave significant influence on plant height, longest root length, panicle length, number of empty grain by panicle, number of filled grain by panicle, weight of 1000 grains and gave highly significant influence on number of leaves by cluster, number of tiller by cluster, number of productive tiller by cluster, weight of dry grain by cluster, and weight of dry grain by plot, while at range time of flowering was not significant. The highest growth and production obtained in the 8 days drying period. Age of seedling gave highly significant for all variables except for the range time of flowering. The highest growth and production obtained in the age of 15 das. There are interaction between the two factors on weight of dry grain by cluster and weight of dry grain by plot. The best result is provided in combination of 8 days drying period intermittent irrigation with 15 das age seedling.
