The need of green bean in Indonesia is increasing every year until 330.000 ton, the production is 38.414 ton and import in every year 29.443 ton. The less production cause of practice that bad good and the agriculture area is narrow. The research aims to determine increase in green beans production with defoliation and application of phosphate fertilizer on saline land. The research was conducted in Mulyorejo village Tirto subdistrict Pekalongan, with an altitude of 0 meter above sea level. The design of experimental used was complete randomized block design (rakl) consisting of 2 factorials those are defoliation (0, 2, 4 and 6 leafs per clump) and application of phosphate (0, 100 and 200 kg/ha) fertilizer repeated 3 times. The result of research is showed that defoliation influence the significant of different plant height, leafs area per plant, pods length per plant, pods amount per plant, weight of wet pods per clump, weight of dry pods per clump, weight of wet plants and weight of dry plant per clump, did not significant on variables active amount of nodule per clump and weight of dry seed per plot. The defoliation treatment 4 leafs per clump gives the best influence. The treatments significant of phosphate fertilizer to variables plant height, pods amount per plant, weight of wet pods per clump, weight of dry pods per clump, weight of wet plants and weight of dry plants per clump, different is very significant on pods length per plant and is not significant to variable leafs area per plant, active amount of nodule per clump and weight of dry seed per plot. Application of phosphate fertilizer 200 kg/ha the best influence. The Interactions between the two factors did not give significant influence to all observed variables.
