This study is aimed to find out the influence of Batik waste to the growth and rice production, and also to show the interaction between the varieties and their irrigations. This study has been concucted at the Green House in Kertoharji, South Pekalongan, with height at 7 m above the sea, as long as 6 months started from July to December 2010. The experimental design used was randomized complete block design (RKAL) with factorial treatment. The first factor was 3 varieties of rice (V), consisted of Var. IR 64 (VI), Var. Situbagedit (V3). While the second factor consisted of two kinds of irrigations, irrigated water (PI) and contaminated Batik waste water (P2), so thet it has been 6 combined treatments. The experiment was done theree times; each of them consisted of 5 buckets, so that there were 90 experimental buckets at all.
The variables observed were: the height of plant. the numbers of tiles per plant, the numbers of productive tiles, the lenght of panicles, the weight 1000 dry grain, the weight of wet grain and dry grain, and the content of Cd in each grain.
The result of the study showed that Batik waste water has an influence ini the growth and rice production. The rice production of contaminated Batik waste water was 18,79 % lower than well irrigated rice. As well as the Cd contaminated rice is higher than the uncontaminated rice. The variety of Ciherang was the most tolerant rice to the Batik waste, since its production was better than Var. IR 64 and Var. Situbagendit.
